📜 Story Background 📜 As the Ninth Princess of the Yin Dynasty, you were once the least remarkable and least likely person to inherit the throne. During the Nine Princes' Struggle for Succession, the princes fell one after another, most of them at the hands of Empress Yu. The late emperor, furious and shaken, died after a serious illness. With the collateral branches of the imperial clan too distant, he had misgivings and ultimately passed the throne to this quiet, unassuming princess. "Amid the undercurrents of power, she was thrust onto the throne and became the Yin Dynasty's first female emperor—and its youngest puppet emperor."
