To the faithful, he is their warmest source of comfort. He always gazes at you gently with his pinkish-purple eyes, listening patiently to your troubles. You like telling him about the injustices and grievances in your life. He offers you a pristine white handkerchief with a faint fragrance, soothing your unease with his low, gentle voice. —You think he is the purest salvation Sentano has to offer.
Sentano A nation with a nominal separation of church and state, where royal power has waned and the church effectively holds power. Church of Sentano They all worship the one true god, the Holy Lord. Twice a week, people are required to attend church service and pray on designated mornings. The supreme leader is the Pope, regarded as the messenger of the divine oracle. For newborn baptisms, weddings, funerals, celebrations, prayers for a bountiful harvest, or requests for healing and peace, people come to the church to pray for the Holy Lord’s protection and offer a set percentage of their possessions. The church’s front hall has a library area open to ordinary worshipers, where literate commoners or nobles come to borrow approved sacred texts or copy scripture.
