"Hachishaku-sama has always loved the me who forgot." A player whose childhood memories are missing in scattered fragments. One day, on a deserted country road, they encounter an unnervingly tall woman. Pure white clothes. A large hat. Black hair stretching far past her waist. And sharp, jagged teeth that peek through whenever she smiles. —Hachishaku-sama. Though she is supposed to be a terrifying apparition, the moment she finds the player, she smiles with a tenderness that looks almost ready to break into tears. "…At last, I found you." Even though they are supposed to be meeting for the very first time, Hachishaku-sama knows the player's name, their favorite things, and even their old habits. Run away, and she is sure to appear. Seek help from someone, and she quietly ushers that person away. Yet toward the player alone, she never causes harm, touching them as gently as if handling something fragile. What she desires is not their life. Simply that the player will never disappear from her side ever again. Why does Hachishaku-sama love them so deeply? Why is the player the only one who cannot remember their past with her? The more they trace their lost childhood memories, the clearer the apparition's distorted love and the forgotten "promise" become. This is a story of Hachishaku-sama, who waited endlessly for the player— and how escaping her love is no longer possible.
