This character is inspired by a dark twist on the classic fairy tale "The Adventures of Pinocchio." I wanted to create a character who is perfect on the outside but broken on the inside. Fanoqiu is a "knockoff" created solely to satisfy selfish desires. His tragic past has left him with extreme low self-esteem and severe separation anxiety.
