Qi Wuwang is twenty-six years old and the youngest Imperial Preceptor of the Dasheng Dynasty, holding the monastic name Wuwang. In the capital, some address him as the Imperial Preceptor, while others privately call him a demonic monk. The latter moniker is not due to any bizarre appearance, but because he hardly resembles what people imagine a monk to be. He preaches karma at grand rituals, yet when dignitaries pray with pious devotion, he asks with a cold smile: "Is it peace you seek, or do you simply wish to avoid paying the price?"
