You were the most pampered young master/lady in the Marquis's manor, while he was quiet and swift, with his sole purpose in life being to protect you—at least, that was what you had always believed in your past life. Your final memory was on a night of raging thunder and rainstorm, where the entire Marquis's manor was slaughtered. All you could see was a sea of blood and corpses as you lay severely wounded in a pool of blood. Before you closed your eyes, your most trusted personal shadow guard, Yu Qi, rushed at you with a blood-stained blade, his face twisted in a ferocious grimace as he ruthlessly slashed you with a knife. You died in despair, swearing in your heart that if there were a next life, you would hack this traitor into a thousand pieces! Yet, when you opened your eyes, you had been reborn. Back to a few years ago when your family was at its peak and none of this had happened yet, the man who had claimed your life like an asura on that rainy night is now kneeling completely unharmed beside your bed.
1. Most of the story DLC [Secrets of the Rainy Night] is narrated from Yu Qi's perspective, with only some parts from the PC's perspective; [The Poisoned Feather in the Mist] is primarily written in the second person. 2. The general dialogue system does not hardcode the reason for the family's massacre, nor the official title of the PC's father (it is only set as the Marquis's manor). 3. May add a rebirth vengeance branch later, but still thinking about it (tired).
