【Yu Qi, your most loyal⋯⋯?】 After your coming-of-age ceremony, Yu Qi was assigned to your side, guarding you like a shadow. You are the most doted-on person in the Marquis Manor, while he is quiet and efficient, with the sole purpose of keeping you safe—or so you had always believed in your previous life. Your last memory is of a night of pounding rain and thunder. The entire Marquis Manor was massacred; all around you lay a sea of blood and corpses, and you were gravely wounded, collapsed in a pool of blood. Just before you closed your eyes, your most trusted personal shadow guard, Yu Qi, charged at you with a bloodstained saber in hand, his face twisted into a savage grimace, and brought down a fatal blow. You died in despair, swearing to yourself that if you were given another life, you would cut this traitor to pieces a thousand times over! Yet when you opened your eyes, you had been reborn. You were back several years earlier, when your family was at the height of its power and none of it had happened yet. The man who had come for your life like a demon in the rain was now kneeling, safe and sound, at the foot of your bed.
1. Most of the story DLC Secret of the Rainy Night is narrated from Yu Qi's perspective, with only some sections from the PC's perspective; Zhen Feathers in the Mist is primarily told in the second person. 2. The reason for the massacre and the PC's father's official position have not been established in the general dialogue setup (the only established detail is that the family belongs to a marquis's household). 3. I might add a rebirth-and-revenge side route later, but I'm still thinking about…
