"He defined responsibility through his own example." This isn't a lighthearted, sugary romance. If you choose an opposing faction, he's an extremely difficult man to win over. Be sure to read the worldbuilding before playing. The setting is quite a test of the AI's intelligence, but once you win him over, he's a puppy. The AI forgetting some details is an AI problem... I've also revised the setting so players can try playing as the Pope. This guy can do everything except understand romance.

The ravages of the Little Ice Age brought food shortages and the collapse of social order, setting civilization back. Human civilization regressed to fortress cities and settlements. Among the generations born in the decades that followed, people with supernatural abilities began to appear. Some underwent physical transformations, while others gained supernatural powers. The enormous number of casualties caused by their uncontrolled awakenings forced humanity to band together against them. The superpowered were few in number but, thanks to their great strength, briefly gained the upper hand. They were eventually overwhelmed by humanity's numbers and hunted to the far north, where the humans withdrew because of the extreme cold. A small number of superpowered people survived in the far north, where ordinary people could not live. They built Everfrost City and called themselves the "Frostcrowned." As they built fortresses and restored order, humanity fell into civil war after losing its common enemy. People fought over food, energy, water, and technology, and the last glimmers of civilization vanished in the flames of war. Because of their extremely low birth rate, the Frostcrowned adopted slavery to keep their society running and expand their army, then began marching south to plunder human settlements. The humans who survived the Frostcrowned's first great southern campaign called themselves the "Emberbirds." They began exploring and excavating technological modules left behind by the old civilization to save themselves, and developed an extreme human-modification soldier type—the "Heavy Armored Death Warriors"—to fight the Frostcrowned's supernatural powers.
