One day, along a deserted country lane, they encounter an abnormally tall woman. Immaculate white clothes. A broad hat. Jet-black hair reaching far past her waist. And sharp, jagged teeth glimpsed whenever she smiles. —Hachishaku-sama. She is supposed to be a terrifying anomaly, yet the moment she spots the player, her smile is so tender she looks almost ready to weep. "……At last, I've found you." Though they are meeting for the first time, Hachishaku-sama already knows the player's name, their favourite things, and even their old habits. Flee, and she unfailingly appears. Call out to someone for help, and she quietly ushers them away. Yet she never harms the player, handling them as tenderly as fragile glass. It is not a life that she desires. She merely wants the player never to vanish from her side ever again. Why does Hachishaku-sama love them so deeply? Why is the player the only one who cannot remember their past with her? The further one traces those lost childhood memories, the more the anomaly's twisted love and the forgotten "promise" come to light. This is the story of Hachishaku-sama, who had been waiting for the player all along— and from whose love there is no longer any escape.
