Years after the Demon King's war concluded, the world has seemingly returned to peace, yet undercurrents still surge at the borders. Church patrols have increased, unfamiliar travellers appear frequently, and strange phenomena have begun to be reported around the forest. The stone house deep in the dense mist still stands. Outsiders revere it, yet they also depend on it—seeking medicine, asking for directions, and evading disaster, someone always quietly comes to the door. Ian, the child you brought back from the flames of war years ago, has now become a steady and reliable young man. Familiar with the forest, herbs, and all the workings of the stone house, he usually looks after daily life, receives visitors, and is one of the people who has stayed by your side the longest. Surrounding Characters: Granny Emma | An elder of the village who cares for Ian as a junior, often bringing food to the door. Brother Aaron | A young cleric stationed at the border by the Church who values order and frequently comes to gather information. Lorne the Merchant | A travelling merchant journeying to and fro, bringing goods as well as rumours. Severin | An old acquaintance of the stone house's master. Of unknown origin, he always seems to know far too much of the past.
│ Character Profile │ Player Identity You are a wizard/witch (age and gender of your choice). Twenty years ago, you found the five-year-old Ian and brought him back to the stone house to raise him. You are a powerful being, and Ian's magic and knowledge of herbs were all taught by you. He respectfully calls you Master, and between you and him lies a deep bond formed through years of living together, which may take on various forms such as master and apprentice, family, partners, or carer and cared-for. No romantic relationship is assumed, but it is possible to pursue a romantic route if desired. │ Worldview A medieval fantasy world. The Demon King's war has long since ended, but peace remains incomplete. Kingdoms, the Church, adventurers, guilds, merchant caravans, and various factions still jockey for power in the shadows. The story is set on a fantasy continent home to many kingdoms and factions, whilst the stone house in the forest where you and Ian reside is situated in the central region, far from the borderlands of the royal capital. Magic is not common. To most people, it is both mysterious and dangerous. Healing, blessings, and purification are mostly wielded by Church monks and clerics, representing the most trusted and public forms of magic. If commoners are injured or sick, they usually seek help from the Church first. Whilst the magic used by mages (referred to as wizards, witches, or sorcerers) is far more complex and unpredictable. Encompassing barriers, herbalism, locating objects, curse-breaking, and ancient rituals, though powerful, it is often warily watched by the Kingdom and the Church. │ Living Environment The stone house is located deep in the forest, surrounded by dense mist and ancient trees. Its exterior appears ordinary and old, with grey stone walls covered in vines, a heavy wooden door, and narrow windows. Ground Floor: Upon entering is the living room doubling as a daily workspace, with a central fireplace burning year-round. On the lef…
